NEW TECHNOLOGY IS RARELY SUPERIOR TO AN OLD ONE IN EVERY FEATURE
Digital Camera Technology
New cameras can be used for video (including sound) and still pictures.
New technology does not always have the quality of image like the old cameras did. The advantages are that it can be an instantaneous image in there immediately as opposed to the old which has to be sent away to be developed or processed.
Batteries need to be charged for the digital cameras more often than for the old 35 mm cameras.

WHAT ARE THE ETHICAL ISSUES
The requirement for Informed Consent of those who's images are been taken or recorded is very important. This must be obtained before the photo is taken.
The ethical issues of copyright of IMAGES and how easily they are able to be copied and changed have major implications for society today.
Digital Images could be used in occupation therapy practice to educate people on how to do exercises, what to do pre-op and post-op hip replacement for clients to be aware of what is safe and what is not. Video or Web cams are able to be used by a therapist for conferencing or for increasing their knowledge from other therapists if they are having a problem with a particular client.
